Using solar energy is
nothing new for humans. It has been harnessed by people
since ancient times, and today it is more rewarding and
cost-effective than ever. Solar energy is a renewable
resource, meaning it will never run out, no matter how
much we use. It is our largest, most readily-available
renewable energy.
Currently, less than a
fraction of the solar energy available to us is being
used. But with fossil fuel shortages—and Hannah Solar’s
advanced technologies—that is rapidly changing.
Individuals, businesses, farms, and municipalities are
quickly warming up to the enormous benefits of solar
power, and their results are making headlines.
Harnessing Solar Power
in Quantity:
Before solar energy can be converted to electricity, it
must be collected. The most common way to harvest solar
energy is to use a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel.
To achieve greater
efficiency, a larger quantity of solar panels can be
assembled and organized at a central location into what
is often called a “solar farm.” The result is a
significant source of power that is easier to control
and maintain than smaller, individual energy sources.
Just consider: Today’s solar farms are used to power
entire industrial plants, farmsteads … and even towns! |
